This rustic stone cottage started life as a shepherd’s hut. Now it plays host to a snug hideaway in a secluded valley with views down towards the sea. It’s the perfect place to get away from it all.

Inside there’s a modern open plan living, kitchen and bedroom area. It’s not unusual to wake up to livestock grazing by the windows or the chime of birdsong echoing through the cottage. Have breakfast in the garden before ambling down to the sandy beach at Porthcothan, keeping your eyes peeled for corn buntings and barn owls.

Explore further afield and discover the stunning beaches at Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay, just three miles from the holiday cottage. And for some of the best seafood restaurants in Cornwall, head to foodie hotspot Padstow, just a 20 minute drive from here.
